Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has extended an invitation to former Formula One Drivers’ world champions Sebastian Vettel to be present at the briefing for the team ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Rosberg took to Twitter to extend the invitation to his countryman after initially suggesting that Vettel should make time for a visit to the team’s headquarters after yet another display of dominance from the Formula One Constructors’ champions in last weekend’s season opening Australian Grand Prix.
According to his tweet, he has spoken to Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe and both of them have no problems with a rival driver visiting the team’s headquarters, referring to team bosses Wolff and Lowe.
Rosberg had said after finishing second behind teammate Lewis Hamilton but almost 30 seconds ahead of Vettel that it would be best for the sport if the rival teams managed to catch up with the pace setting Silver Arrows. Vettel had butted in between his answer when he asked whether he meant that would happen if only the Mercedes slowed down before going on to suggest that he might want to take a closer look at the secrets of Mercedes.
